Waiting For The Sun is a respectable, if unimpressive, third album; it at least represents an advance over Strange Days (which had the knack of sounding like the first Doors album, not only as good). Nevertheless the Doors are not a particularly exciting hard rock band and Morrison is something like rock music’s equivalent to Rod McKuen.

Waiting for the Sun is now my favorite album. The Doors are the BAND and Jim is the MAN! Received it on Saturday, it made me sing, dance, laugh and brought back memories of the best 60s music of all time. With music like this you never feel too old to enjoy Rock and Roll that gives you a sense of better days gone by. Amazing!/5().

#9:We Could Be So Good Together. This is a lively, and very cool song. One of the first songs i learnt to play on guitar, and it still features highly on CD's I make. All in all it's a pretty fun song, and the most upbeat off a pretty strange album. Deffinitley a highlight. 5/5. #Yes The River Knows. This is odd.

Listen free to The Doors – Waiting for the Sun (Hello, I Love You, Love Street and more). 11 tracks (). Waiting for the Sun is The Doors' third studio album. It was released in and became the band's first and only number one album and spawned their second number one single, "Hello, I Love You." With the exception of two songs, the material for this album was written after the band.
